HOW DO I CHOOSE MY HEAD-SHOT PHOTO(S)?
You can choose the photos right after the shoot on the studio computer, or you can choose them later on your phone or your own computer when I upload them onto my proofing website the same day. When you are choosing the photos using my proofing website, all you need to do is picking the one you want me to retouch by clicking the favourite button.
DO YOU EDIT THE PHOTOS YOURSELF?
Yes I Do, all photos are carefully edited by me. No batch process or automated filters.
WHAT SIZE DO I RECEIVE FOR THE FINAL IMAGES?
For Event Photography You will receive both high and standard resolution for the final images you have chosen.
Web size versions are ideal for sharing on social media.
High Resolution versions can be printed up to poster-size canvases and are more than sufficient for web use.
For Portraits and Headshots You will receive an additional full size which is even higher resolution.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE EVENT PHOTO(S)?
Normally I deliver the final images within 48 hours after the client has chosen the photos they want, depends on the amount of photos chosen. So if there is only one photo, then you'd probably receive the final image on the same day.
WHAT IS DONE ON A FULLY RETOUCHED PHOTO? AND WHAT DO YOU DO FOR EVENT PHOTOS?
Every head-shot need to be retouched. It can be around the eyes or mouth, or maybe the color needs correcting, or the lighting has created a large shadow, but with every head-shot there is something that needs to be fixed.
Generally, what I always do in the retouching process, is to airbrush the skin, and fix things that needs to be fixed but not a feature from that person, such as a big pimple, large eye bags, flyaway hairs, teeth that needs to be whitened etc.
I also did once flattened a guy's wrinkly shirt, but I highly recommend you come prepared with your clothes properly ironed. I've also removed a pair of ear rings from a lady.
As for event photos, they are delivered with lose edit only, which means, i will only fixed the lightings, contrast, co-lour balance. This ensures a fast turnaround with a lot more photos delivered, and if there is a need to fully retouch an event photo, you can always request. I have once removed all non-client' brand names of all the event photos.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes, i have business insurance and public liability insurance. If you require a certificate, please don't hesitate to ask:)
WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I use top of the line Canon camera bodies and L series lenses, also high end lighting equipments and accessories, for video production I use Canon Cinema EOS Cameras and various stabilising accessories. I am a geek when it comes to camera gears, and a massive gear hoarder, it is good for backups and basically any type of shooting.
CAN I RE-SCHEDULE/CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT ?
To cancel or re-schedule your bookings, you will need to give me 12 hours notice. If you miss an appointment without contacting me within the required time, this is considered a missed appointment, and you will lose your deposit. The deposit can NOT be transferred to any future bookings.
You shall NOT be responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from acts or facts reasonably beyond control.
Under the influence of force majeure, photographer may only be responsible for refunding the deposit to the client.
WHAT IF I'M LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT ?
If you are late for more than 15 minutes, your appointment may be cancelled, and your deposit won't be refunded if you didn't re-schedule or cancel prior to the shoot.
Neither party shall be responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from acts or facts reasonably beyond the control of that party.
HOW DO I PAY?
You can pay when you make the booking via my booking page or you will receive an invoice via email including payment methods (Paypal, Bank transfer). You can also pay by cash if you like. All my pricings are GST inclusive.
WHAT IS THE CAPACITY OF YOUR STUDIO?
I mainly shoot head-shots in my studio, my studio is about 25-30 square meters, it is enough for full body portraits as well.
If you need a bigger space to accommodate big projects, please inform me so that I can arrange a bigger studio. *A studio hire fee will be added to the service.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE AT YOUR STUDIO?
There are limited visitor parking in my building, please do let me know before you come. Also, there are places nearby you can park freely which will only take you around 3-5 minutes by walking. If you find yourself on a very busy day, there is always Bunnings car park which is only 10 minutes walk from my studio
DO YOU PROVIDE CLOTHES, MAKE UP & HAIRSTYLE ARTIST?
No, I don't have clothes in the studio, and I don't have in-house makeup & Hairstyle, However I am always working with other artists and most of the time I'm able to refer you a professional make-up artist.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR A HEAD-SHOT?
A good night sleep would be nice :) Stay hydrated is important for good skin too.
Simple natural make up is recommended for corporate head-shots. Hairstyle should be classic and timeless, avoid complex styles and accessories.
Bring some sample photos to show me what style you like and want to achieve, that usually helps a lot to get that best shot.
Be patient during the shoot, good photos don't usually come in the first 5 minutes of shooting, so It is important not to rush. Remember to relax and have fun ! You will then find out that you have plenty of genuine smile in your photos :)
WHERE DO YOU LIVE AND HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL?
I Live in Alexandria, Sydney, I love driving so you can expect me to travel pretty far with enjoyment. Flying is also ok.
Travel expense is billed simply. If airfare, car rental and hotels are needed, all you are responsible for is a direct reimbursement for the charges.
For Inner city travel, there will be no added cost.
